BIOGRAPHY

Evan Loxton; born in France 1996 spent his formative years on the mid north coast of NSW. In 2015 he commenced his Bachelor of Fine Art at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, where he currently resides. Throughout a year deferral in 2016, Loxton used this valuable time to gather experience abroad in the appropriate contexts to develop his practise. Loxton’s body of work employs performative driven installations supported by sculptures. His materiality focuses on acrylics, digital reliefs and video media to explore queer and feminist notions of navigations in our current patriarchal contexts. Loxton’s practise aims to bypass normative, conditioned ideologies and pave a path to ideal post-gender realms.
